The Association of Lithuanian Conservators was established through the initiative of professionals working in this field. Until now, there was no organization in Lithuania that united specialists from all areas of restoration, so the idea of creating a restorers’ association received strong support from the restoration community. This revealed the need for adequate representation of the restoration profession in Lithuania and abroad, as well as a common goal to actively work together in shaping the Lithuanian school of restoration, sharing professional experience, and informing the public about the efforts of restorers to preserve Lithuania’s cultural and historical heritage.
The mission of the Association is to unite specialists in the field of cultural heritage restoration and, through research, conservation, and restoration, to protect and nurture cultural and spiritual values. The goal is to realize the vision of safeguarding and preserving Lithuania’s tangible cultural heritage for future generations.
